AL-(STEM) Deepening Mathematical Concept & Content Knowledge: Ops & Props

Have you ever said “I’m not a math teacher,” “I’m just a literacy teacher who has to teach math,” or "I know how to do the math, but could use some work on the deep concepts"? Then this session is for you. Deepening instructor content knowledge is needed to strengthen mathematics instruction. This workshop will deepen content knowledge by focusing on concepts of operations. Participants will go beyond how to add, subtract, multiply and divide and learn how the concepts connect to operating with all quantities, particularly polynomials and the algebraic properties.
